Overview

Personal finance, unified into one dashboard people can actually trust.

ADACAP tracks income, expenses, assets, liabilities and tax in one place, turning raw transactions into insight. It helps people understand spending patterns, optimize tax strategy, and read their overall financial health at a glance.

The challenge

Money scattered across banks, and no single place to make sense of it.

Financially active users juggle multiple banks, cards and investments. They struggled to reconcile transactions, trust their categories, and see the real impact of spending. Existing apps offered basic charts, not decisions.

  • 01Finances fragmented across banks and platforms
  • 02Hard to verify and reconcile transactions
  • 03Basic visuals with no forecasting or analytics

Project goals

  • Overview with drill-downA high-level financial picture that opens into the detailed transactions behind it.
  • One visual systemA clean, consistent way to show income, expenses, assets, liabilities and tax.
  • Verify against banksStatement views that can be checked directly against bank records.
  • Decision analyticsProjections, capital ratio and exemption breakdowns for real planning.

How I approached it

Who I designed for

Senior Consultant & Investor · 42 · Kuala Lumpur

From the overview dashboard to income, expenses, assets and liabilities, plus reconciliation views and an AI assistant, ADACAP reads clearly and drills down on demand.

  • One source of truth for his finances
  • Understand the real impact of spending
  • Plan ahead with reliable forecasts
  • Money split across many banks
  • Manual, error-prone reconciliation
  • Weak insight from existing apps

Outcome

ADACAP shipped as a complete, responsive hi-fi design backed by a documented design system, ready for engineering. Five scattered apps became one authoritative view.

The hardest part of a finance product is earning trust in the numbers. Taken further, I would instrument reconciliation completion and time-on-task, and pressure-test the forecasting views with real multi-account data.

  • FRAGMENTATION → ONE VIEWA top-down overview with drill-down into every transaction, one source of truth instead of five apps.
  • CLARITY → ONE SYSTEMIncome, expenses, assets, liabilities and tax share one visual language, so impact reads at a glance.
  • TRUST → RECONCILIATIONStatement views are built to be checked directly against bank records, cutting manual matching.
  • RECORDS → DECISIONSProjections, capital ratio and exemption breakdowns turn history into forward-looking guidance.
